Host Institution: University of Southampton

I completed my MEng in Mechanical Engineering with Biomechanics at the University of Sheffield in 2020. My research project focused on the use of computational modelling in bioengineering applications.

My PhD topic is on the optimisation of the design and device-skin interface of cervical collars used in emergency and rehabilitation settings. I will be using various bioengineering approaches to investigate the conditions that put patients at risk of collar-related skin damage.

I enjoy a variety of sports including cycling, running, climbing and volleyball. I also play in a jazz band playing the alto sax as well as playing the clarinet and viola da gamba.
